PSS-PASS at DPP4EU Conference

Event details:

PSS-PASS participated in the DPP4EU Conference, presenting its vision and initial results on the evolution of Digital Product Passports (DPPs) towards more intelligent, service-oriented ecosystems.

During the event, Marta Calderaro from Engineering Group, a partner in the PSS-PASS consortium, introduced the concept of the Digital Product Service System Passport (DPSSP). The DPSSP extends the traditional Digital Product Passport by creating an AI-ready data space that supports lifecycle value creation and enables new service-driven business models.

By integrating technologies such as Asset Administration Shells (AAS), Data Spaces, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Twin-based simulation, the DPSSP acts as a single source of truth for product and service data, facilitating sustainability, circularity, and informed decision-making across the value chain.

The presentation also highlighted the project’s three pilot cases in the home appliances, complex equipment, and textile sectors. These pilots demonstrate how Digital Product Passports can evolve from compliance-focused tools into decision-support platforms that enable data-driven and circular value chains.

The DPP4EU Conference provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with industry experts, researchers, and stakeholders, contributing to ongoing discussions on the future of Digital Product Passports and their role in supporting Europe’s green and digital transitions.
