“The UNIBG team, experienced in developing frameworks for companies transitioning to service-oriented and sustainable business models, will lead the design and development of the methodological framework. This framework will guide the integration of PSS principles into the Digital Product Passport (DPP) concept. Specifically, UNIBG will define the conceptual integration and structure the operative phases for effectively designing and implementing the resulting Digital Product-Service System Passport (DPSSP) in industrial settings, ensuring the framework is both robust and practical. Finally, UNIBG will coordinate the industrial pilots for DPSSP design and implementation, managing partner interactions and overseeing pilot planning and execution to ensure alignment with the methodological framework.”

“Tecnalia plays a key role in the PSS-Pass project by focusing primarily on AI-based developments, which include creating solutions for the automatic calculation of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Life Cycle Costing (LCC), optimizing product design based on environmental impacts and costs, and implementing predictive maintenance. Furthermore, Tecnalia significantly contributes its expertise in Circular Economy (CE) and LCA to developing the DPSSP Ontologies and Semantic Layers necessary for ensuring the resulting system’s interoperability. Leveraging its extensive experience in both environmental impact assessment, circularity, and the development of varied AI solutions, Tecnalia also provides close support to the textile pilot case.”

UNPARALLEL is a Portuguese SME that develops digital technologies and provides consulting services on digitisation with a strong foundation on research and innovation. UNPARALLEL develops new products ranging from software/web solutions to hardware devices/sensors, and provides high-value consulting services on technological development, strategic insights, market intelligence, etc. Main target markets include (but not restricted to): Internet of Things, Industrial IoT, Smart Cities solutions, Agri-food instrumentation, Water-smart systems, Smart Factories/ Manufacturing, etc.
“UNP contributes to the PSS-Pass project through its consolidated expertise in designing and developing digital solutions, data-driven architectures, and Industry 4.0 technologies. Within PSS-Pass, UNP will lead the design and development of the DPSSP Digital Environment, a digital framework that adopts the AAS standard as the reference model for implementation and data exchange within DPSSP. To this end, UNP will collaborate closely with: i) ATB and TEC to enrich DPSSP with semantic capabilities, ii) TOG and ENG to integrate security mechanisms into the environment through data spaces, and iii) ENG to incorporate DT-based simulation results into DPSSP.”

For over 40 years, OAS have been developing pioneering solutions in the fields of plant technology, production control, weighing technology, yard management and IT.
“OAS AG is one of the pilot partners in the PSS-Pass project. We design and install industrial production plants, mainly for dry mortar and paint producers. Apart from the mechanical design and complex equipment supply it is our expertise to provide efficient Manufacturing Execution Systems to our customers along with hardware and software for plant control. As a result we have access to numerous production plants in Europe which are the base for practical implementations of PSS-Pass framework parts.”

ENGINEERING Ingegneria Informatica is responsible for the development of simulation tools through Digital Twins and the integration of the DPSSP to industrial Data Spaces.”
