Webinar #1 – The PSS-Pass Bridge: Unifying Manufacturing Data for a Circular Future

Event details:

The PSS-Pass consortium successfully hosted its first public webinar, “The PSS-Pass Bridge: Unifying Manufacturing Data for a Circular Future,” on June 30, 2026. The complete video recording and presentation resources are now open to the public.

Shifting to “As-Maintained” Lifecycle Intelligence

This webinar introduces PSS-Pass as the ‘digital bridge’ that finally connects manufacturers directly to the end-user. By showcasing how shared data transforms the product lifecycle, we demonstrate a dual-value journey: empowering consumers with digital recycling instructions for optimized material recovery, while providing industry with the authenticated product histories needed to ensure market stability for resale and second-life markets.

Key Highlights:

  • The Methodological Framework: University of Bergamo detailed the structural design phases required to define passport hierarchies, indicators, and read/write access permissions.
  • Home Appliances (Electrolux & Engineering): Showed how multi-agent digital twin simulation optimizes customized warranties, failure analysis, and product life extensions.
  • Textile Industry (Desigual & Tecnalia): Explored AI-based optimization and Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) to enhance supply chain data transparency and circular recovery loops.
  • Complex Equipment (OAS & UNPARALLEL): Evaluated standard Asset Administration Shell (AAS) submodels (IEC 63278) to eliminate buyer uncertainty and foster market liquidity for decades-long heavy asset cycles.
